Halifax might seem a surprising choice for a day out, but it will be a day out full of surprises. On the way the coach will turn off the M62 and take us along the stunning Calder Valley and through distinctive towns such as Rishworth, Ripponden and Sowerby Bridge before reaching Halifax.
When we arrive at Halifax there are many things to see and do. You can spend all day at Piece Hall with its magnificent piazza (on a sunny day you can imagine you are in Italy) and it is surrounded by three stories of museums, galleries and boutique shopping. Next door is the Industrial Museum and an Arts Centre.
Halifax has markets, a shopping centre, a magnificent minster, Shibden Hall, the Smith Art Gallery, the Bankfield Museum, and Eureka the national museum of childhood and much more besides. There is something here for everyone.
