FAQs

How do I find out what courses are available?

To find the complete selection of courses, please click on the Courses tab on the Homepage.  You can use this both to search courses and to enrol.

When should I enrol?

As soon as possible, as places will fill up quite quickly on some courses.  Courses commence at the beginning of October, and places on many of our courses fill up quickly.  You should therefore book your place as soon possible ahead of the course start date, and ideally no less than two weeks beforehand.   If the course you wish to enrol on is full, you will be automatically placed on the waiting list.

What happens if I am placed on a waiting list for my chosen course?

If a student withdraws from your chosen course ahead of the term's start date, you will be automatically notified and will have the opportunity to then book on the course.

Can I enrol on more than one course?

You can enrol on multiple courses if you wish. They will be added to your 'basket' on the payment system.

How should  I pay for my course?

We encourage students to pay for their course fees electronically via our online payment system.  This is the most efficient and cost-effective way for both our students and Enjoy Learning.  The online payment system is entirely secure and we do not make an admin charge.

We recognize, however, that not all our students have internet access and/ or electronic banking and, in such cases, we accept cheques payable to “Enjoy Learning”.  In exceptional cases we will accept cash payments for the exact amount of the course fee, in a sealed envelope, with your full name, address, and the course code and name of the course.  This should be presented to the Administrator by prior arrangement no later than the first session of the course. Please DO NOT send cash through the post.

Important: we ask that students make their fee payments (online or by cheque) well ahead of the course start date so that we can be sure of student numbers for each course and better manage our cashflow.

Can I pay for my course in instalments?

We request students to pay for their course fees in one FULL payment.  We are unable to offer the option to make payments in instalments.

What happens if I am unable to attend after paying for the course?

If you are unable to attend any sessions of the course you have paid for, you should contact the EL Administrator info@enjoy-learning.org  or complete the 'contact us' page of the website.

Will I receive a refund if I miss classes?

Our courses are full fee only with no reductions. Refunds are only given in cases of serious personal illness over a period of time.

If I did not attend in the first term, can I start in January?

Yes, but if it is a beginners course, the second term will not be at absolute beginners level, so some basic knowledge will be assumed.

What do I do if I am poorly and can’t attend a class?

If you aren’t able to attend your class due to illness or any other reason, please contact your tutor direct to let them know as far in advance as possible. Otherwise, please email info@enjoy-learning.org.uk and we will relay your message to the tutor.

What happens if Enjoy Learning has to cancel my class?

We make every effort to ensure that classes take place as per the course schedule.  However, if, for example, a tutor is unwell and we are unable to provide cover for them, we will email /telephone all affected students advising them in good time. In the event of all classes being cancelled, e.g. due to bad weather a notice will appear on the Homepage of our website.  If in any doubt, please check the Homepage for news updates or email info@enjoy-learning.org.uk.

Do I need to bring any specific equipment to the first session?

Your tutor will advise if you need to bring anything specific.  This will usually apply to arts and crafts courses.  For most other subjects, such as Languages, History, Music Appreciation you will only need notebook and pens.

What if I have mobility issues, special needs or allergies?

Most Enjoy Learning sites are wheelchair accessible but if you have any specific needs, including mobility issues, that may require adjustment of the classroom environment please advise your tutor ahead of the course start date. The same applies if you suffer any allergies e.g. to paints, pollen etc.  Enjoy Learning will do all reasonably possible to accommodate these needs and requests will always be treated with total discretion.

Do you send a reminder out before a course starts?

We are unable to issue individual reminders, so students will need to note course start/end dates in their diary.  All course start and finish dates are featured on the website.

Do you accept students under 18?

No, our classes are for people aged 18 and over with no upper age limit.

I have mobility problems, are classes accessible?

Most classes are accessible, where they are not accessible this is clearly indicated on the website and the brochure.

Where can I park?

All Enjoy Learning centres have different parking arrangements, details of which can be seen on the website. Please note that Enjoy Learning cannot be held responsible for damage to/theft from parked cars, or accidents that occur while travelling to and from centres.
