A short course for people who are interested in or like visiting Spain but may not be able to speak Spanish. The course will be taught in English though some Spanish words and phrases such as ‘siesta’, ‘un café, por favor’ will be used to highlight some of the points discussed. We will learn about the people and their culture – the Spanish family, regional differences, customs and dialects. We will also see how multiple invasions from the Romans to the Arabs, religion and the Civil War have shaped our country without depriving Spaniards of their infectious love of life!
The Friends Meeting House is in Bolton town centre close to the Parish Church. It is easily accessible from Bradshawgate and Deansgate and though many bus routes stop at Moor Lane the free town centre circular from there will take you close by. There is limited parking at the Centre and pay car parks close by. Free parking is available in the evening.
